This multi-day photo tour will take you around Iceland in 7 days. It is a combination of many of our multi-day tours with time to relax and enjoy many key areas around Iceland’s coastline.
Iceland has a rich variety of landscapes and seascapes and this tour is designed to enhance that variety. Capture Iceland’s full diversity as a travel photographer.

Iceland Photo Locations
These are just the main locations to give you a sense of direction. The tour will include many more lesser known photo locations with a chance to escape the tour buses and crowds.
The Golden circle is a relaxed introduction to Iceland’s national treasures. the geology and history at Thingvellir is a great introduction to Iceland that will stay with you through the whole trip. The amazing Gulfoss and Geysir with help you feel the power of planet Earth. Gullfoss waterfall Iceland is the largest in Europe. Practice extreme long exposures here.
We will always include a few other lesser known locations to give great variety. Such as horses, churches and smaller waterfalls.
The South Coast has several great photo stops. We include the popular Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss and the black sand beaches at Vik. Seljalandsfoss – There can be good light in the evenings. In the Summer, the sun sets in the North Western sky, it is possible to capture incredible sunsets from behind the falls.

There are many secrets spots on this route to get you away from the tour buses & crowds.
Jökulsarlon is undoubtedly the best place to photograph glacier ice.
Iceland’s east coast offers relaxing routes through the many fjords. There are quaint fishing villages and a sprinkling of decent coast stops for landscape photographers. Great for Northern lights!
The North is feature rich and has impressive waterfalls and geothermal hot-spots.
The Snæfellsnes peninsular features some of Iceland’s best sea-scapes and the most photographed mountain. This leg of the tour will give you prime time at Kirkjufellsfoss as well as the famous black church at Buðir. The hotel is close to Kirkjufell, so you can enjoy Northern lights as well as sunrise & sunset.

Seasons: Running all year
Winter (Mid Sept – Mid April ) start times are around 09.30. We shoot regular hours which could include night shooting for Auroras and sunrise/set on the ice beach.
Summer (Mid April – Mid Sept)
The tour could start after 14.00 in the Summer. Mid-Summer, this could involve shooting through the night hours (22.00-06.00) and sleeping in tents during the day.

Breakfast is normally include in the Hotel. We usually eat evening meal in Restaurants. Prices are between $20-$40 for a main meal. But we can be flexible if you wanted to cater for yourselves
We stay overnight near the locations in a guesthouse or hotel (winter) or Camp locally (Summer)*. Your accommodation will be arranged for the duration of the tour, let us know your preferences. Guest rooms have private bathrooms. Rooms can be single, twin, double or triple.

This photo tour gets close to a few glaciers, so why not consider some nature activities on and under the glaciers? Standard ice cave tours (Crystal cave) can be booked directly with the tour, but you might want to consider upgrading to an ice cave adventure.
