The ‘Blue Heel’. Blahylur is a crater lake near Landmanalaugar. It is thought to be a collapsed chamber, like a burst bubble in the lava rock. This crater lake really deserves to be in a panorama photo because there are only a few spots along the rim of the crater. At it’s lowest point the photographer can capture the surrounding mountains in the background, but the blue lake is quite wide.
