Skogafoss waterfall Summer

Skogafoss waterfall

Skogafoss waterfall is one of the easiest waterfalls to spot on the Icelandic ring road. It is in an area with a couple of significant waterfalls. Some of them are hidden, but Skogafoss cant be missed as it is clearly visible from the main road.

The waterfall is very approachable, but this cliff edge half way up was my favourite view of Skogafoss waterfall. I can see the complete waterfall with no tourists.

It is a sheer drop of about 40m from this mossy ledge. The vertical orientation follows the outline of the surrounding rocks and also suits the shape of Skogafoss waterfall perfectly.

Materials: Archive paper, Aluminium or slim frame canvas.
