Ice

With her huge glaciers, Iceland is one place in Europe which guarantees ice all year round.

The central theme of these tours is ICE.

The Ice Special tour will feature opportunities for a range of Ice related activities: Glacier hiking, glacier ski-doo, ice climbing, ice lagoon, ice lagoon boat trips, glacier walks, skiing and Ice beach.

The photography aspects will be different with each activity and some activities offer greater photographic opportunities than others. Many of these activities such as Ice climbing and Ski-doo trips are run by other tour operators, I will take you to the areas where you can participate in such activities.

Included: complete photographic as well as geophysical guidance through these activities. There is a general fitness requirement for some activities, although activities do vary in terms of difficulty and the length of time required to complete them.

Not included: the cost of extra activities such as ski-doo, dog sledding, ice-climbing. Food is not included, but there will be opportunities to buy and prepare food.

Specialist ice equipment will be supplied for extra activities, but hikers are generally expected to be fully equipped with walking clothes and gear for the trip. Mono/ tripods can be supplied on request. Photographers are required to provide their own memory cards, but there will be opportunities to create DVD back-ups at some points during the trips.

Winter trips

Winter trips can be very exciting with frozen lakes and waterfalls along with excellent light. They can also be more challenging in terms of travel and very good clothing is required.
