Four day North Iceland
On this 4 day, guided photo tour, we could plough through some serious Winter snow to get to some of Iceland’s most beautiful photo spots in the North. Or shooting the midnight sun in mid-Summer.We will stay just a few minutes from Goðafoss waterfall and lake Mývatn, this is the tour to capture the brilliant Goðafoss waterfall with a whole load of ice and snow. Opportunities for Sunset, Sunrise and Northern lights (Winter only) at Goðafoss. In the Summer, the opportunity to shoot early sunrises on Goðafoss and Dettifoss is not to be missed (mid – Summer nights only).Geothermal pools and hot tubs warm us in the Northern Exposure.
Godafoss works well for both Summer and Winter photo shoots.
Days 1 & 4 are full driving days with short photo stops on the way. these photo stops could include Hvitserkur Troll Rock or Hraunfossar waterfall Hopefully catching a sunset or blue hour at Godafoss. Evenings 1 & 2 possible Auroras on Goðafoss in the evening, days 2 & 3 could include Dettifoss, Myvatn and low light at Námafell Hverir. there are also options to watch whales from Húsavik or visiting the volcanic landscape of Krafla. Day 4 Sunrise at Goðafoss before the long drive back.
Note: access to Dettifoss is subject to road conditions.
The tour could be shortened to 3 days or extended to 5 or 6 for photographers who want to catch Goðafoss and Mývatn in a variety of light and weather conditions.
We can arrange a local Super Jeep to get to remote waterfalls such as Aldeyjarfoss (Winter).
Doing this as a fly tour could reduce it to 2 or 3 days, or include more locations.
