The Ice Beach at Jökulsarlon offers so many opportunities for unique photographs. I frame can look completely different a few seconds later. The Ice beach is called Breiðamerkursandur which means “The squirrel’s nutsack” although the translation has been lost over 1000 years.
This shot was a mixture of the right timing and composition, al that was needed was for the exposure to be correct. Although I pushed the highlights a little too hard, the exposure is very useful. The Magic Cloth controlled the sky and allowed the sea to continue receding to reveal some reflected colours on the wet beach.
