Ice and a slice
When we arrived at the beach we were disappointed to see thick cloud towards the South and no signs of any colour. We set up to shoot the details and movement in the Grey dawn. After some time, a gap appeared in the clouds near the horizon.
I was obsessed with this bit of ice in front of me, but I couldn’t get anywhere near it because of the big waves. So I got as close as I could and lined it up with the interesting part of the sky. This was an 11 second Magic Cloth exposure. The long exposure allowed the waves to create that beautiful line that complements the sky so nicely.
