Multi-day tours

Our longer photo tours have been designed after many years photographing top locations in different season and different conditions. They are designed to give your the best locations over light for the given duration. These guided tours are run in large comfortable SUVs, perfect for an overnight with your luggage and camera gear.

Most of our Photo trips run from Reykjavik, but if you wanted to start from somewhere else, just ask. If you don’t see what you are looking for, please contact us with a custom tour request.

All Year Photo Tours

These trips run throughout the year. South Iceland has the best access in the Winter. Any road closure delays in the South are more likely to be hours rather than days. In the North, roads can be closed for days, this has to be understood when booking tours that include North Iceland in the Winter.

The following tours can be booked on dates to suit you. These tours can be private for your small group or shared with other passengers. Private tours can be booked directly on the tour pages. Shared tour requests can be made on this page.

Vesturhorn at Stokksnes – East Iceland

Vesturhorn at Stokksnes – East Iceland

This incredibly beautiful mountain and beach combination reflecting in the wet sand at Vestrahorn is a must-see for any photographer visiting Stokksnes in East Iceland.

Top 10 Aurora Locations in Iceland

Top 10 Aurora Locations in Iceland

This guide discusses some of the best locations for photographing the Northern lights.  My top ten locations are from the North, South, East and West parts of the country.  I discuss the pros and cons of each place regarding Aurora photography.

Interesting Churches of Iceland

Interesting Churches of Iceland

I used to joke that there are more churches in Iceland than people. Outside of Reykjavik, this is almost the case. There is a church on almost every farm, village or hamlet. Christianity has been the dominant religion in Iceland for the last thousand years.

Grótta Lighthouse at Seltjarnarnes

Grótta Lighthouse at Seltjarnarnes

The lighthouse at Grótta sits on a small island at the tip of the Seltjarnarnes peninsula.  The town of Seltjarnarnes is easier to visit than to say.  The town is bordered with Reykjavik and is one of the oldest settlements in Iceland.

Summer only Photo Tours

These photo trips run June – September. Days in the highlands can be a wonderful experience. It is strongly recommended to experience the Midnight sun in the North of Iceland including the Westfjords. Multi-day Summer tours could involve night hours shooting and camping.
