Day 1

Pick-up from your Reykjavik Hotel and head to a photographer’s paradise called Thingvellir National Park.  Just a 40 minute drive, we can warm up our camera gear between the tectonic plates at the impressive Oxararfoss waterfall.  From there we take a mountain pass toward Geysir.  Here you will have plenty of opportunity to photograph an erupting Geysir before a big photo shoot at Gullfoss waterfall.  Lunch stop at Geysir or Gullfoss.  There are other lesser known stops at waterfalls, horses, craters etc.  We then travel down to the South coast to our hotel near Skogafoss waterfall. Night photography at Skogafoss waterfall.

Day 2

We may start with a sunset at Vík or Dýrholaey before heading to the River gorge at Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon. After lunch at Skaftafell, we might hike up to the Svartifoss waterfall or take a more leisurely stroll towards the glacier tongues. We could finish with a sunset at Jökulsárlón before checking in to our Jökulsárlón hotel. Enjoy Traditional Icelandic food in the hotel restaurant.  If the conditions are right at a reasonable time  you could go out to photograph Northern lights in the local landscapes including Jökulsárlón.  If they come at an unreasonable time when your guide should be sleeping, it is possible to photograph them from the hotel.

Day 3

The day could start with a sunrise on the diamond beach, Glacier lagoon or an Ice cave adventure. After an Icelandic lunch, we can explore other glacier lagoons and the incredible glacier landscapes, hike up to Svartifoss waterfall or head off to Vestrahorn mountain for Sunset. A second night at our Jökulsárlón hotel where we can enjoy a tasty fish supper, some local beer and go through some of our pictures. Northern lights photography if conditions are good.

Day 4

After breakfast we check out of the hotel with luggage and camera gear. Then drive to the glacier lagoon or ice beach, we head back along the South Coast with stops at dramatic landscapes, churches, waterfalls and lava landscapes. After lunch we head back towards Vik or Dyrholaey for the afternoon and Sunset.  Longer days may catch Seljalandsfoss waterfall at sunset. The tour finishes with a drop-off at your Reykjavik hotel a couple of hours after the final photo location.
