This blue scene was the result of very poor light and visibility. On this January Workshop, we were lucky to even see the Vestrahorn Mountain from the beach at Stokksnes. We were stood on the black sand beach with cameras ready for a glimpse of the mountain. Then a wave rolled up the beach to meet us. It was the only such wave of the session, so I tried a 10 second exposure with the Magic Cloth Technique. I gave the sky a fraction of a second and my cloth slowly followed the retreating wave for the remaining seconds. Luckily the exposure and timing were good and the result is the beautiful lines from the retreating surf. Even more lucky was that part of the mountain became visible at the same time.
