Crater Red Photo paper poster

At the point when the Fimmvörðurháls emission started it was a disappointing time for Icelandic adventure lovers. The authorities kept a 20km zone around the small crater eruption. Nearby individuals were cleared from their farmsteads as the Volcanologists moved in expressing ‘Stay back, we don’t have the foggiest idea how large this thing gets’. The Fimmvörðurháls eruption made another hill between the 2 glacial sheets of Mýrdalsjökull and Eyjafjallajokull. The emission happened on a walk way. The hiking markers really led into the new crater.
This was the view as we moved toward the ejecting fountain of liquid magma on Fimmvörðurháls. I borrowed a friends telephoto lens so that I could fill the frame with red hot lava. I was following in some admirable people’s footsteps and adequately fortunate to be with some of Iceland’s best photographers. We all had similar objectives, we needed to stay up on the glacier until night to check whether there would be Northern Lights. Meanwhile the well of lava looked extraordinary against the sunset sky in late March.
